Friends of the Family is a local organization whose purpose is to “Help families impacted by catastrophic illness”. When a family is dealing with a loved one going through Leukemia or other cancer treatment, they need support. Daily life may be turned upside down. Gas, food and lodging are expensive. A hot meal at home or gift at the Holiday are things that can vanish when illness strikes. Money raised by Friends of the Family provides direct financial support to families of such patients in the form of co-pays for medication or bank cards for food, housing and travel when families have needed help. Our only goal is to help the families and patients.
